the small white package in our jerky bags that is clearly labeled “do not eat” is an fda-approved oxygen absorber that helps to preserve freshness.

if the package has not been opened, jack link’s^® products will remain fresh without refrigeration. once the package has been opened, be sure to refrigerate or eat within 3 days. we advise against freezing the meat snacks as they won’t provide an optimal snacking experience. sure, they’re still perfectly fit for consumption, but their texture and taste can change (rarely for the better).
